It is difficult for staff members in the back of the clinic to know when a critically ill patient or an animal being euthanized is in an exam room and, thus, when they should walk by quietly. So we place a large orange traffic cone with a "Quiet Please" sign in the hallway near the exam rooms all staff members pass by. The cone and sign remind us to be quiet and respectful.
