Incorrect. Although Rhipicephalus sanguineus is notorious for establishing infestations inside kennels or homes with dogs,⁵ the arthropod in Figure 4 can be readily identified as being an insect rather than a tick by the clearly differentiated head, thorax, and abdomen; the presence of antennae; and the presence of three rather than four pairs of legs.
