Dr. Miller's "Don't socialize medicine" anecdotes describe shortcomings due to poor training, slothful attitudes, and mismanagement,
which we have no shortage of here in America. Insinuating that "socializing" medicine has any relationship to the particular
scenarios described is meaningless. A wise friend used to say that we already have universal healthcare—it's just a matter
of how we've decided to distribute and pay for it. Finally, if you think about it, insurance is socialism. You pay roughly
equal shares, but receive according to need.
