To get a cat into a carrier without the cat panicking and flailing about, pull a pillowcase over the cat and loosely twist the pillowcase closed. Then simply place the pillowcase into the carrier, and close the carrier door. The cat can easily get out of the pillowcase and will be snug and safe inside the carrier.
