We save the empty sterile diluent vials to use as containers for medicine dispensed in small amounts, such as meloxicam for
cats or antibiotics or anthelmintics for tiny exotic animals. We remove the metal rim, leave the stopper, wash the vial, and
remove the label. The stopper is easy to remove yet keeps the vial sealed. The vial can then be placed in a standard pill
bottle, which provides childproofing, protection from light, and a place for conventional labels. Our old way of dispensing
these medications (predrawn syringes in plastic bags) left much to be desired. This way produces a more professional appearance.
