Our clients often do not bring in stool samples for annual examinations, even when given convenient sample containers. So at the end of annual examinations, we tell clients that we would like to take their dogs into the treatment area to weigh them and finish the examinations with a rectal palpation and that while we are at it, we'll collect stool samples. We have almost 90% client compliance—clients are happy that they don't have to watch the procedure or try to get a fresh sample.
