To prevent hypothermia during anesthesia, we place baby booties or socks on all our patients to reduce heat loss through their
footpads. We also keep patients warm by using a Bair Hugger (Arizant Healthcare) temperature management unit. We monitor the
temperature of all patients we use these techniques on and have found little to no change (< 1 F ) in core body temperature.
