Idea Exchange: Sack pricey slings by making your own

We can thank some resourceful clients for inventing the inexpensive sling we use in our practice. When their 100-lb dog was recovering from hindlimb amputation surgery, our clients made a sling for it by cutting the sides out of a reusable grocery bag. These bags can be found at many stores for $1 or less, so they are easy to replace when the slings become soiled, lost, or damaged.
