Ian Kanda, RVT, VTS (Exotics): The main thing is avoid old samples, you know, you can have like blood cell lysis, which will decrease it or blood cell swelling, which will increase it, so try to use a fresh blood sample. Also, probably most important is avoid dilution. So you're going to put your blood into a tube with anticoagulant and make sure you fill that tube right up to the fill line.
