Properly managing a diabetic pet is often regarded as a complicated experience for veterinary clinics, and an overwhelming experience for pet owners. As the prevalence of diabetes in pets increases over time, it becomes more important to understand the basics of monitoring, the available options, and benefits and limitations of each option in order to provide optimal care for diabetic pets. This podcast will review the highlights of monitoring diabetes in cats and dogs and focus on current recommendations based on guidelines from veterinary organizations.
